Students of Color are not adding up. If you look at SAT scores, college drop out rates, remedial courses in college, you will notice that students of color are highly represented in the negative categories. The reason of why this happens is a long list that as teachers we do not have control over. However, there are strategies, structures that are in our locus of control in order to improv this problem. I decided to attack the problem of students of color taking remedial math courses in college. How you ask? Great question. Find out what I did, why I did it, and what the results were.
